Concrete Company Sydney is a referral service. We do not pour, finish, cut, polish or remove concrete ourselves. Enquiries made through this website or to our phone number are passed to independent concreters and contractors working in the Sydney area, who contact you, inspect the site and provide a quote.

Who does the work

The contractor who quotes the job is the business you deal with for that job. They set the price, agree the scope with you, carry out the work and are responsible for it. Any agreement for concrete work is made directly between you and them. This website is not a party to it.

Licences and insurance

We ask the contractors we work with to hold the licences and insurance the job needs. We do not monitor those over time, and we make no representation that any individual holds a particular licence, qualification or level of insurance. Before work starts, ask to see a current licence, which you can check through the NSW Government licence check, and a certificate of currency for public liability insurance. For residential building work, NSW Fair Trading publishes the rules on licences, written contracts and home building compensation cover.

Approvals, boundaries and services

Some concrete work needs approval from your council, a certifier, Sydney Water or another authority, including driveway crossings on council land, taller retaining walls, structural slabs and work near sewer mains. It is the property owner's responsibility to confirm what approvals apply and to obtain them. Information on this site about approvals is general and may not reflect your council's current requirements. Confirm boundaries before building near them, and request underground service plans through Before You Dig Australia before excavation.
